Artist | Professional | Digital Art
Spain
"Alfonso Elola is a digital artist and illustrator in Madrid, Spain. His work embodies a gruesome realism, as he is a lover of composition, complexity and spaces full of details that are tinged with a powerful light. His work reads between the lines of a surreal, anatomical story with notes of triumph."

Thank you for the very unusual llama.  Just when I think I have seen every conceivable form of llama imaginable, one like yours arrives and surprises me again.  I have discovered that when someone sends me a llama, that creature is very much like an extension of that deviant’s works and tastes.  So naturally your llama was quite stunning.  Actually I thought it was fairly ordinary when it first stepped out of the stock-trailer, but then upon seeing some of its crazy peers, like the llama/badger chimera, Lily the Gothic necromancer llama, and the were-llama, to name but a few, your llama got startled and suddenly burst into a kaleidoscopic display that I can only assume was some form of defense mechanism.  She appeared to peel apart into gorgeous floral patterns, and anatomical after-images, that mesmerized all who looked on.

We all stood there gaping at the beauty, then suddenly the illusion faded into the air like those shimmers you get in your eyes after staring at an intense light.  Only then did I realize that the actual llama had long since escaped in the confusion of her psychedelic display, and was already across the field and almost to the tree line on the far side of the pasture at a full sprint.

It took most of the day to catch and calm her down, and reassure her that her new companions are really not as monstrous as some of them appear.  Lily’s “pet” chupacabra didn’t help matters.  Every time your llama ran away he kept thinking she just wanted to play “chase”, and was more than happy to oblige.  Having a happy slathering hellish proboscis-monster lapping at your heels, does not tend to make one feel at ease.

I must admit, he really does take some getting used to, but he is mostly harmless - (unless you are a goat).  He just looks horrifying and unfortunately he has more playful energy than he knows what to do with.  But if you can muster up enough courage to play “fetch” with him, you will have a friend for life.  Needless to say your llama (I have decided to name her, "Rosa", btw)  took considerable calming down, but I managed to convince the more intelligent members of my herd, to do their best to reassure her and help her adjust to her new environment.  So thank you once again for such a fascinating new addition to my llama menagerie.
